La Universidad -

The 3rd National Meeting of Teaching and Research Experiences in Languages, held in Santander de Quilichao, at the University of Cauca’s campus in this northern municipality of the department, brought together a large audience for two days of pure magic.

Driven by the motivation and interest to create enriching academic experiences, on November 14 and 15, 2024, the Santander de Quilichao campus of the University of Cauca hosted the 3rd National Meeting of Teaching and Research Experiences in Languages.

This event was designed to socialize, promote, and contextualize the work and processes of students, professors, researchers, educational institutions, and language professionals at the regional and national level, focusing on languages such as Spanish, native Colombian languages, and foreign languages such as English and French—a very interesting platform for strengthening knowledge!

The event, organized by the Bachelor’s in Modern Languages with Emphasis in English and French in the Regionalization modality, with the support of the Continuing, Open, and Virtual Education Center – CECAV of Unicauca, featured 20 presentations, 15 talks, 4 workshops, and 1 session addressing topics such as educational experiences, class projects, and research processes in languages.

“These types of spaces represent the crystallization of processes that have been evolving since the opening of the program in 2013. Specifically, it has allowed us to grow in terms of student population, better attend to a larger audience, understand the community's needs more effectively, and give our professors a much clearer perspective of the reality we face and the challenges ahead, while finding tools to solve them,” said Cristian Fernando Salazar, event coordinator and professor in the Modern Languages program at Unicauca's North Campus.

At the University of Cauca, we deeply value the creation of these spaces and academic gatherings, as they promote an enriching exchange of knowledge and wisdom among students, professors, and researchers, significantly contributing to their personal and professional growth.

For this reason, we invite you to actively participate in the events organized by our Alma Mater, contributing with your presence to strengthen our academic community.
