Graduate Specialization in Pathology

The specialty of Pathology is an academic program that seeks to train a doctor suitable for pathological practice, research, and teaching in the area of Pathology. The candidate will be trained to provide comprehensive care of the highest quality to the patient with social projection level.  Upon completion of the program, and once approved all courses and research work has been accepted as part of the curriculum, the University confers on the graduating the title of Specialist in Pathology.

The Pathology program is developed through rotations in various services and areas of pathology and its specialties. The rotation refers to that teaching care practice for a specific period of time in a service or  institution, leading to enhance and improve knowledge, skills, and abilities that these entities and services offered.

Student Profile:

The undergraduate student who wants to do a specialization in Pathology must be a person in academics: studious, thorough, observant, and who enjoys doing research work. As for personal values, he/she must be committed to the community, that is, he/she must understand that his/her influence is important in patient’s management, and therefore, must have intellectual honesty, be cordial, so his/her services are required with ease. It is also expected to gain teaching skills directed either to the community or to the student population.
